Some say that there is an inner child in all of us. Well....
Inside of Honey Kisaragi there appears to be an entire armory.
Honey Kisaragi is the Cutey Honey, a super heroin who changes herself when she changes her outfit. Honey has become at one time or other:
For the most part, however, she is the "lovely warrior, Cutey Honey."
Honey lives with the Hayami family that includes Chokkei, a teen boy, Danbei, his cyborg enhanced grandfather, and Chokkei's parents.
The first two volumes are a complete story arc. The main bad guy is named Dolmeck. He controls all the other crime persons in Cosplay City and is the head of a group of cyborg enhanced nasties and other monsters.
The third and fourth volume, which I do not have, takes up after the destruction of Dolmeck. Chokkei is a little older and a young lady named Natsuko is added to the mix. Natsuko was part of an all female gang who stole a rather large bomb in the hopes of becoming the next group of major nasties. Things do not proceed as planned, however, when Panther Zora also arrives on the scene. Panther Zora is an old enemy of Honey from way way back.
The New Cutey Honeyis an entertaining series in its own way. Not great animation or story line, but not terrible either. The series has quite a lot of adult content and humor in it, some of which is quite amusing.
