In the far distant future, mankind is terraforming the planet of Mars.

Mankind also was met by aliens calling themselves "Gods", which seem determined to keep mankind on the planet Earth. They wage a war of arms with giant space ships and a war of subversion.

Captain Kanki Akuh captains a secret Earth spy ship called the Aoba. The war is at a critical point, and the captain and his ship are brought into the front lines of the war when they acquire the plans to the huge enemy ship named Hell.

In general, Big Wars showed much promise and it managed to deliver, at least in animation quality. I thought that the story fell a little short of its goal, however.
