All right, I admit it. The main reason I purchased this piece of anime was to get its points, because I needed just a few more and I could order a nifty El-Hazard T-shirt from Pioneer. However, I was rather surprised to find that this video is a wonderful piece of satire with Bill Gates and Microsoft as its victims.

However, it is probably a good idea to explain the Pretty Sammy universe. I suppose that it can best be described as an alternate universe to the standard Tenchi universe, either the OAV series or the T.V. series. In this universe the persons are as follows:

Ryoko and Ayeka are also present in this universe, chasing Tenchi as usual. However, they did not appear in this particular piece of anime.

Ok, now that is out of the way....

95% of the worlds' computers are using software written by Bif Standard and his company Standardsoft. However, he has been unable to break into the Japanese market.

So, Bif devises a plan to break into the Japanese market by gobbling up all the rival computer operating systems and software products. This poses a problem for Tenchi and Sasami, as the karaoke software that Chihiro wants to run will not run on Bif's operating system. In order to calm their now frazzled mom, Tenchi and Sasami go in search of the Mach 8 OS.

They find, however, that none of the shops carry the Mach 8 OS anymore, so Tenchi must resort to the black market. However, Pixy Misa shows up chasing Tenchi for the copy of the Mach 8 OS.

For, Bif has made a deal with Ramia to combine his network with magic to make a magic network. With this he hopes to bring about the destruction of the world so that he could rebuild it standardized.

Eggg.... In any case, Pretty Sammy can not let this happen. For one thing, she finds standardization boring.

This is a very cute piece of anime and I was very surprised by it. The animation quality if pretty good and the satire is well done.
